1. Check Compatibility

Make sure your RØDE mic is compatible with your camera’s mic input.
Most RØDE mics use a 3.5mm TRS connection (e.g., VideoMic series), but some require an XLR adapter.

2. Power Supply

Some RØDE mics (like the VideoMic Pro) have built-in batteries or use phantom power.
If using a battery-powered mic, ensure it’s charged/on.

3. Proper Connection

TRS vs. TRRS: If using a mic with a TRRS plug (3 black rings), you’ll need a TRRS-to-TRS adapter (e.g., RØDE SC3) for DSLR or mirrorless cameras.
